INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS

When working with each client, I choose from various therapies in order to develop a plan that will meet their goals. These therapies include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

I take a thorough history when considering my client’s present problems, and also examine the contextual factors influencing each client, being sure to understand their complexity and circumstances as much as possible. This helps me to see not only their strengths and resources, but what areas in their life may be targeted to improve their overall health and well-being. My clients are aware of the focus of our treatment plan and our agreed upon goals. While the focus of sessions is specific to meeting our goals, clients are encouraged to share anything that comes up in their lives to process during the course of therapy.

My experience has largely involved working with anxiety disorders; such as, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and phobias. I also work with individuals with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), ADHD, mood disorders, as well as stress, difficulties adjusting to life changes, and loss. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to see if I can help you with something else that is not listed.

GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS

Group psychotherapy can be an excellent way to share experiences and learn from others with whom you can relate. Groups will be offered based on needs and interests. Types of groups may include parenting strategies for children with disabilities, stress management, mindfulness, and coping with loss. If there is a group that you would be interested in, please feel free to send me a message.

ONLINE PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Psychological evaluation involves the administration, scoring and analysis of normative assessments and other data to determine if an individual has a diagnosis or disability. Psychological reports with test results assist individuals with accessing services, resources and accommodations available in their school or community.
